According to Google, In its simplest form, leadership is influencing other people to follow. Therefore, anyone who can influence people to follow them has leadership qualities. Leadership happens at all levels within organizations and society, not just among those who work in defined "leadership positions."  


While there are many factors that contribute to effective leadership, here is a list of ten key factors that are often considered crucial for successful leadership:

When a leader says. No, or ignores a persistent vendor to something like data and a demo, that seems likely to improve the business or team performance, is that good leadership?

1.  Vision: A leader should have a clear and compelling vision that inspires and motivates others. They should be able to communicate this vision effectively and provide direction for their team or organization.



2.  Integrity: Leaders must demonstrate high ethical standards, honesty, and trustworthiness. They should act with integrity and be consistent in their words and actions.

3. Emotional intelligence: Effective leaders possess strong emotional intelligence, which involves understanding and managing their own emotions as well as being empathetic towards others. They can navigate relationships, handle conflicts, and inspire collaboration.

4. Communication skills: Leaders need excellent communication skills to convey their ideas, goals, and expectations clearly. They should be good listeners, open to feedback, and able 

5. Decision-making ability: Leaders are responsible for making important decisions. They should possess sound judgment, gather relevant information, analyze it effectively, and make timely decisions.

6. Adaptability: Leaders should be adaptable and able to navigate through change and uncertainty. They should be open to new ideas, embrace innovation, and be willing to learn and grow.

7. Resilience: Leaders often face challenges and setbacks. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity, maintain composure, and lead through difficult times. They should be persistent, optimistic, and maintain a positive mindset.

8. Empowerment: Effective leaders empower their team members by delegating authority and providing opportunities for growth and development. They create an environment that fosters autonomy, trust, and collaboration.




9. Accountability: Leaders should hold themselves and others accountable for their actions and outcomes. They take responsibility for their decisions and do not shy away from admitting mistakes or learning from failures.

10. Inspiration and motivation: Leaders inspire and motivate their team members to achieve their best. They set high standards, lead by example, recognize and appreciate accomplishments, and provide constructive feedback.
