Stellantis Charts a Course for Growth in 2025
At the recent National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) convention in New Orleans, Stellantis North America leadership revealed an ambitious strategy aimed at revitalizing dealer partnerships and driving growth for its iconic brands, including Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, and Ram. With leaders engaging in frank discussions, the focus was on enhancing collaboration and rebuilding trust following a tough 2024.
Emphasizing Dealer Collaboration and Transparency
Antonio Filosa, North America Chief Operating Officer, stressed the need for a renewed collaborative approach. In his remarks, he articulated how removing limits for dealers is critical to building a lasting partnership. This inclusive strategy aims to boost dealer confidence and ensure that both parties can succeed together in a competitive automotive market.
A Return to Core Advertising and Innovative Products
One standout initiative is the plan to revert to pre-pandemic advertising levels, essential for re-engaging with consumers. Notably, Stellantis will make a big splash during the Big Game on February 9, promoting Jeep and Ram products that resonate with audiences. This advertising push is complemented by the introduction of an expanded product lineup, including more affordable versions of the Ram 1500 and gas-powered Dodge Charger models expected by summer 2025. Dealers can look forward to the launch of three new Jeep nameplates and distinct powertrains, offering customers hybrid and electric options.
Face of the Future: Trust and Predictable Incentives
Stellantis executives were clear about prioritizing consistency in incentives and product offerings, aligning strategies to reaffirm dealer trust. As Jeff Kommor, Head of U.S. Sales, noted, a transparent approach is key: "Following a challenging 2024, we told dealers that we will be consistent and focus on gaining their trust, especially regarding our products and pricing." This renewed focus aims to enhance sales prospects and enrich the overall customer experience.
Optimism Among Dealers Post-Meeting
Dealers left the two-hour session feeling optimistic about Stellantis's outlined plans. The commitments to transparency and mutual success left an encouraging mark, setting the stage for a focused push to elevate performance across key brands like Jeep and Ram. The company is poised to not just stop at ambitious targets but ensure quality and effective inventory management are also front and center in its growth strategy.
